Enjoy the space and convenience of Thunder Mountain Place, a beautifully upgraded ground-floor apartment situated at the base of Thunder Mountain and alongside a greenbelt. A trailhead at the end of the street provides access to relatively flat walking and biking routes extending toward Mendenhall Glacier.
The apartment is priced for four guests but can accommodate up to seven. The floor plan includes three bedrooms: one with a king-sized bed and private half bathroom, plus two bedrooms with queen-sized beds. A rollaway bed is available for an additional guest.
The open living and dining areas provide a comfortable place for your group to gather, while the full kitchen features granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, cookware, dishes, and the essentials for preparing meals. A Roku-equipped TV is available for streaming, and a washer and dryer are provided in a shared area on the property.
Off-street parking is available at no additional charge. Garage parking is currently unavailable.
The property is approximately 2 miles from the Juneau airport, 3 miles from Mendenhall Glacier, 4 miles from the University of Alaska, 6 miles from the ferry terminal, 10.5 miles from downtown Juneau, and 21 miles from Eaglecrest Ski Area. The nearest city bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away, with a convenience store nearby.
Two bicycles are available for rent for $10 per bike per day, or $50 per bike for longer stays. Please arrange bike rentals in advance.
Pets are welcome with prior approval.
Self-check-in makes late arrivals easy. Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for a $50 fee when arranged in advance.
Guests also receive access to a 10% discount on tours through Alaska Travel Adventures. Popular excursions include whale watching, Mendenhall Glacier tours, kayaking, rafting, hiking, gold panning, private transportation, Jeep tours, and other Alaska adventures.
