Enjoy the comfort of your own separate apartment while staying in a welcoming Tudor-style home in Juneau’s Mendenhall Valley. Grandma’s Suite is a private accessory apartment with its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, sitting space, exterior entrance, porch, and designated parking.
The apartment is priced for up to two guests. A third guest may be accommodated upon request. An additional $30 ($34.20 including tax) nightly charge applies to each person beyond two and each additional animal. Because the booking system does not automatically calculate these additional charges, they will be collected separately after confirmation.
Inside the Suite
The bedroom includes:
Queen-sized bed
Reading lights
Nightstand
Dresser
TV
Walk-in closet
The open main room combines the kitchen, dining, and sitting areas and includes a sofa/daybed, dining table, and additional storage.
The apartment is located on the second floor and has a private exterior entrance and porch. A designated parking space is located directly in front of the entrance. Both the exterior and interior entry doors have deadbolt locks.
Guests may also access the main house through an interior door and enjoy the community atmosphere of the home. However, sleeping accommodations are located exclusively in the private apartment, and pets are not permitted inside the main house.

University of Alaska — 4.5 miles
Juneau Ferry Terminal — 6 miles

The city bus stop is just steps away, making it possible to explore Juneau without relying entirely on a vehicle.
Self Check-In
Late arrivals are easy with self check-in. Your lockbox code will be provided a few days before arrival.
Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for a $50 fee, depending on availability.
Alaska Tour Discount
Host Kelli is a co-owner of a large Alaska tour company offering more than 25 tours throughout the state. Vacation rental guests can receive a 10% discount on qualifying tours.

This apartment was built in the early 1990s for Great Grandma McBride and has remained part of the home’s history ever since. It provides the convenience of a private apartment while still being connected to the larger home and its community environment.
